The Dogs Are Making A lot Of News Today

The city of Asheville, NC have voted to ban the use of chaining dogs up outside. Thanks to the help of a group called ChainFree for pushing the issue to get the ban.

While over in Saint Paul, MN a German Shepard-Pitbull mix named Shadow had died from a virus called Parvovirus that has the animal control worrying if this highly contagious viral disease will hit other dogs in the area.

The Supreme Court will be voting on possibility a new law that protects dogs from being videoed showing them being tortured and in dog fights which are protected by the first amendment. I hope they vote yes, because there are too many dogs being abused by these groups that need to be stopped.

The Almost Heaven dog kennel owner Derbe Eckhart has pleaded guilty to two counts of animal cruelty, three counts of violating a cease-and-desist order, one count of failing to remove 216 dogs from his former kennel which should have had the name Welcome to puppy hell. Now that’s some good news for the day.

While over in Bedford, NC the Sheriffs have arrested a guy named William Travis Williams in a sting for the sale of fighting pit bulls.

And to top it off the Queensland Dog Offensive Group say’s that the wild dogs are costing them over sixty seven million dollars in damages to their livestock.
That sure sounds like a lot of hungry dogs down there.
