The Indian Supreme Court has ruled that they will stop the killing of stray dogs in Mumbain with a little help from Pamela Anderson and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
It wasn’t really Pamela that made the courts change their minds.
Chief Executive, Abodh Aras, said; It’s not only Pamela Anderson but a lot of children have also been writing to the commission saying that one should have the policy of sterilization rather than killing stray dogs.
Pamela did write; Dogs cannot use condoms, but with the municipality’s help, they can be fixed painlessly, quickly and permanently.
They say there are seventy thousand stray dogs in India’s financial and entertainment capital and there are widespread concerns about their role in spreading disease, including deadly rabies.
